Wine at Zipp's
Zipp's philosophy on wine comes down to this: sell the best wine at
the lowest price and ... sell the oddest things around. The best at the
lowest thing is easy since every retail wine shop tries to do just that
but the neat thing about Zipp's is we take it to a new level with the
addition of odd and unique wines. Say you want a Txolina, we have three
to choose from. A rose from Burgundy, got that too. What about a Kerner
from the Alto-Adige, got it. Wait there is more, how about a 100% Pinot
Noir from Champagne ... try the Bollinger 1997 Cote Aux Enfants. Getting
the picture yet?
It is not only that we look for strange wines but we look for wines that
have character not found in your everyday wine shop because we think that
wine is all about character. Oftentimes character is found in the oddest
of places ... like Zipp's.
And yes, it is cool to have a wildly different selection of wines to choose
from but we also understand that you might need a wine that you can use
for dinner tonight or you are looking for your favorite wine. We got those
too. From Kendall-Jackson to Yellow Tail we don't shy away from the wines
that people do back flips for nor do we gouge the customer on these wines.
So if you are looking for that truely one-of-a-kind bottle or your everyday
wine come into Zipp's. We got it all and we are always more than willing
to put the right bottle of wine in your hand.
Wine Classes
(None Currently in session...stay tuned though!)Zipp's has also started holding weekly wine classes for our customers
and anybody interested in learning more about the wines they love. Class
topics range from exploring different grape varities (like Chardonnay
or Pinot Noir) to delving deeper into specific wine growing regions (like
Burgundy or South Africa) to learning how wine is made. All classes are
fun, informative and designed for the average to experienced wine lover.

Wine Tastings and Other Wine Events
Every Friday and Saturday nights Zipp's has wine tastings for
our customers in the store. These are informal tastings that showcase
some of the products we love and are free of charge. Stop in and have
a sample of the great wines Zipp's carries.
