Bushmills Distillery Sampling

April 21 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The distillery was given license in 1608, but didn't take the name Bushmills until the late 1700s. They owe the name to the village Bushmills in Northern Ireland, who's named after a large watermill on the Bush River. The water for the whiskey actually comes from a tributary of Bush River, called Saint Columb's Rill, which flows literally underneath the distillery after going through peat lands and gaining a touch of earthiness. The whiskey itself is notably smooth with floral, honey, and mineral elements, finishing with a brown sugar tang. Try their traditional Irish whiskey, their black label, aged in sherry casks, and red label, aged in bourbon barrels!
